Two full weeks

Greetings to our family and close friends. Sam and I thought we would blog while in Costa Rica. We established the agreeement that the blog would be terminated upon arrival to the U.S. We are certain that you all would not want to keep up with a blog on life in Dallas.

We have had a full two weeks in Costa Rica. Our first night was spent in San Jose at a great little hostel. The hostel was nothing special except for it's food and warm hospitality. After spending the night there, we promptly caught a bus to the small town of Orosi, caught a taxi to the bungalow in the botanical gardens. Our time here was very relaxing! After a couple of nights in the mountains we headed to the beaches of Puerto Viejo. The journey was long but well worth it. While on the Carribean coast we decided to hike in one of Costa Rica's National Parks. The hike was very eventful, we took a dip in the ocean with no one surrounding us, we also saw some sloths, monkeys, a woodpecker, racoons, tapir, lots of lizards and butterflies.

On Monday we started to Turrialba by bus. We only missed one bus exchange which took us about 30 km north of where we were suppose to be! We arrived a little before 6. Omar, our Tica Padre, was waiting at the bus station for us and since then we have been eating very well and learning a lot of Spanish.

We plan to keep you guys updated on our travel and local adventures in Turrialba. We are both so grateful for this opportunity, however we miss our peeps a lot!

Until next time, Pura Vida!
